IT Functional Analyst

As an IT Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging business needs and IT solutions within a complex banking environment. You work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and ensure successful delivery of IT solutions that align with enterprise architecture and strategic objectives.

What will you do?

  • Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements
  • Support business analysts and stakeholders in identifying and evaluating solution alternatives
  • Propose functional solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, security standards, and business objectives
  • Collaborate with architects to define solution architectures and application designs
  • Act as the link between business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, and technical teams
  • Coordinate multiple IT teams and ensure a clear understanding of business requirements
  • Define impacts on applications, systems, and processes across the IT landscape
  • Create and maintain functional specifications and documentation
  • Align requirements with development, integration, infrastructure, and security teams
  • Support development, testing, and implementation activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analyze and resolve defects identified during testing phases
  • Provide support during releases, deployments, and production incidents
  • Contribute actively within Agile and Scrum teams to achieve sprint objectives
  • Support continuous improvement through feedback, collaboration, and knowledge sharing

What do you bring?

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or in a similar IT analysis role
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, application architectures, and system integrations
  • Experience within the banking or financial services sector
  • Solid knowledge of functional analysis methodologies and best practices
  • Experience translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications
  • Strong understanding of APIs and Swagger documentation
  • Experience creating and interpreting UML diagrams
  • Knowledge of AI-supported analysis techniques and tools
  • Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments
  • Knowledge of Java is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of XSD and XSLT is considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Structured, accurate, and methodical way of working
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in changing environments
  • Proactive team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Fluent in English (mandatory)
  • Dutch and/or French are considered an advantage

Start Date: 29/06/2026

End Date: 31/12/2027

Hours per week: 40 hours

Working Model: 50% onsite / 50% remote
