Product Expert
Product Expert – Senior (Professional Credit Products)
As a Product Expert – Professional Credits, you will act as the bank-wide subject matter expert for professional lending products within the Risk & Credit organization. You will support the development, optimization, and commercialization of professional credit solutions by bridging business, product management, and IT. Working closely with Product Owners, Squads, business stakeholders, and commercial teams, you will ensure that products meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and the bank's strategic objectives while driving continuous product innovation.
What will you do?
- Act as the bank-wide expert for professional credit products and related lending processes
- Serve as the product reference for business, sales, IT, and operational teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Support Product Owners in defining new product features, priorities, and strategic product roadmaps
- Translate regulatory requirements into functional product enhancements and business opportunities
- Analyze customer needs through customer research, advisor feedback, and end-to-end customer journey analyses
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and developments within professional lending
- Contribute to defining and executing the product strategy for professional credit products
- Facilitate ideation sessions and help develop new banking and beyond-banking value propositions
- Support Go-To-Market activities by preparing product content for campaigns and sales channels
- Validate legal, fiscal, compliance, and regulatory aspects of product communications in collaboration with Centers of Expertise
- Build business cases for new products, services, and product enhancements
- Support budgeting, pricing strategies, and financial performance analysis of professional credit products
- Monitor commercial performance, operational KPIs, customer satisfaction, and product success metrics
- Produce management reports for internal stakeholders and external organizations
- Analyze product performance data and recommend continuous improvements to product backlogs
- Collaborate closely with business, IT, strategy, sales, and Agile Squads to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Support requirements gathering, conceptual modelling, testing activities, and solution validation throughout product development
What do you bring?
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with professional credit products and related lending processes
- Strong knowledge of professional lending products within the banking sector
- Experience translating business requirements into product features and functional specifications
- Experience with requirements management and conceptual modelling techniques
- Good understanding of workflow processes and business process analysis
- Solid understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and testing methodologies
- Experience working within Agile product development environments is an advantage
- Experience developing business cases is considered a strong asset
- Experience with customer journey modelling and customer-centric product development is preferred
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing abilities
- Structured, organized, and quality-focused working approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business priorities
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Master's degree or equivalent through relevant professional experience
Languages
- English: Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Dutch: Professional proficiency or
- French: Professional proficiency
