Linux Security Expert (Red Hat / IAM / Security Engineering)

As a Linux Security Expert within the IT Production department, you will play a key role in securing and maintaining the bank's Linux infrastructure and identity management platforms. Working within the Windows & Linux Security Squad, you will design, implement, and support security services across authentication, authorization, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and risk management while contributing to the bank's cloud transformation and regulatory compliance initiatives.

You will act as a senior technical expert responsible for Linux hardening, Red Hat Identity Management (IdM), security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and third-line security support. Working in an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with infrastructure teams, security specialists, architects, and Group IT teams to ensure secure, resilient, and compliant platforms.

What will you do?

  • Manage the lifecycle of Linux security platforms, including Red Hat Identity Management (IdM), security monitoring configurations, and in-house security solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure Linux environments through OS hardening, authentication, authorization, and identity management using LDAP and Kerberos.
  • Administer and maintain Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) infrastructure and related security services.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize security monitoring platforms while analysing security events and supporting incident investigations.
  • Provide third-line technical support for authentication, authorization, identity management, and vulnerability-related incidents.
  • Contribute to the migration of infrastructure and applications towards the client's private cloud environment.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain security scripts and tooling using Bash, Perl, Ansible, and other automation technologies.
  • Identify, analyse, and remediate security vulnerabilities while supporting vulnerability management and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Contribute to audit campaigns, control plans, Critical Asset Recovery initiatives, and DORA compliance projects.
  • Monitor security risks, prepare management reporting, and communicate remediation progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local infrastructure teams and Group IT teams in Paris within an Agile delivery model.
  • Participate in the on-call support rotation for critical production security services.
  • Promote security best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the Linux Security Squad.

What do you bring?

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Linux Security Engineering, Linux System Administration, or Infrastructure Security.
  • Strong expertise securing and administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Extensive experience with Red Hat Identity Management (IdM), LDAP Directory Services, and MIT Kerberos.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Perl, and Ansible.
  • Experience with Linux operating system hardening, authentication, authorization, and identity management.
  • Experience supporting security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk remediation.
  • Experience working with security configuration management and enterprise security tooling.
  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions is highly desirable.
  • Experience with CyberArk, Elastic/ELK, or similar security monitoring platforms is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Windows and AIX security is considered a plus.
  • Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud migration and infrastructure security in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional infrastructure and security teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and knowledge-sharing abilities.
  • Autonomous, structured, and delivery-focused mindset.
