Senior IT Project Manager – Infrastructure (Agile Production Services)
As a Senior IT Project Manager – Infrastructure within an Agile Production Services (APS) environment, you will play a key role in managing and delivering strategic IT production initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. You will act as an initiative owner for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery by coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers, and internal partners.
Working closely with Project Managers, Feature Delivery Owners, IT Operations teams, architects, and external suppliers, you will ensure initiatives are delivered within agreed scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines. You will act as the bridge between business requirements and technical solutions, challenging stakeholders when needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
You will contribute to an Agile way of working by facilitating collaboration, removing impediments, supporting Agile ceremonies, and ensuring efficient communication across teams.
What will you do?
- Act as an Initiative Owner for IT Production and infrastructure-related initiatives
- Manage end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring scope, budget, quality, and timelines are controlled
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Feature Delivery Owners, architects, IT Operations teams, and external suppliers
- Support business Initiative Owners in prioritization decisions, value assessment, budget management, and scope alignment
- Monitor delivery progress and ensure features and project milestones are successfully completed
- Collect and consolidate delivery status information from technical teams and stakeholders
- Identify, track, and facilitate the resolution of impediments at initiative, project, and feature level
- Organize and facilitate project ceremonies, workshops, steering meetings, and Agile events
- Contribute to Scrum of Scrums, Quarterly Agile Planning, and other Agile governance activities
- Ensure clear communication and information flow between internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Act as a trusted partner between business stakeholders and IT suppliers, challenging solutions to optimize cost, quality, and delivery value
- Review and understand complex technical infrastructure architecture documentation
- Support infrastructure transformation and migration initiatives where required
- Protect delivery teams from unexpected workload and ensure alignment with management priorities
What do you bring?
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT environments
- At least 3 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or similar role
- Strong experience managing infrastructure-related IT projects
- Ability to understand and challenge complex technical infrastructure architecture documents
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and external suppliers
- Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies and governance models
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Agile ceremonies, Scrum of Scrums, quarterly planning)
- Experience managing project scope, budget, risks, dependencies, and delivery priorities
- Knowledge of infrastructure migration projects is considered a strong asset
- Previous experience within the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multicultural enterprise environment
- Proactive mindset with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Structured, accurate, and quality-focused working approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience
