Senior Business Analyst (IT) – Banking & AI Transformation
As a Senior Business Analyst (IT) within a leading banking environment, you will play a key role in analyzing, documenting, and translating business needs into effective IT solutions. You will work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects, Developers, and business stakeholders to define requirements, optimize processes, and support the successful delivery of technology initiatives.
You will act as a bridge between business teams and IT delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, documented, tested, and aligned with business objectives. You will contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirement gathering and process analysis to solution validation and implementation.
Working in a complex enterprise environment, you will help improve business processes, support digital transformation initiatives, and contribute to the adoption of innovative technologies, including AI capabilities.
What will you do?
- Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business, stakeholder, solution, and transition requirements
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Project Managers, and subject matter experts to understand business and technology strategies
- Analyze existing business processes and design improved workflows and solutions
- Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements between business and technical teams
- Support the translation of requirements into test scenarios, expected results, and user acceptance testing activities
- Manage requirements traceability, impact analysis, and coverage throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in quality reviews of requirements, designs, prototypes, and solution deliverables
- Define and maintain the BA requirements management approach across projects
- Collaborate with internal and external IT delivery teams to ensure successful implementation
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement
- Contribute to initiatives involving AI capabilities and emerging technologies
- Support the adoption of innovative solutions, including Agentic AI concepts where applicable
What do you bring?
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst within IT environments
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and management
- Experience working with business processes, workflows, and process optimization
- Good understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle, and testing methodologies
- Experience creating functional requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Experience with conceptual modelling techniques and methods
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools
- Good understanding of banking processes and financial services environments
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments is an advantage
- Knowledge or experience with AI capabilities is highly preferred
- First experience with Agentic AI is considered a strong asset
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Structured and quality-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments
